Job Description:

strive for ____, a young youth-led dreambuilding mentorship program for teenage foster youth is seeking an incredibly talented and motivated graphic/web designer to join our team and assume responsibility for creating web and print assets.

This person will be responsible for development of all online and offline creative assets, for bringing new concepts to life from a design perspective, and for turning wireframes/prototypes into visual designs that are both user friendly and adhere to our brand guidelines. We are looking for a team player who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and is willing to take on projects at a rapid pace. The need is immediate, but ideally this would be a long term engagement.

strive for ____ offers the opportunity to be the creative voice of a worthwhile aim – empowering youth in foster care to realize their dreams. As a part of a team of highly capable and well credentialed strategic marketers, the strive for___ designer will develop an excellent and meaningful portfolio.

Position is located in downtown San Francisco and is Pro Bono.

Primary Responsibilities:

•  Help inform brand identity with new logo
• Design all online components, such as web banners, email, landing pages, social network banners etc.
• Convert wireframes/prototypes into compelling visual user experiences; Design web pages, landing pages, etc. from rough wireframes or sketches
• Design look and feel of new concepts as relevant.
• Professional file preparation including pre-press packaging, color management for print and web usage

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Design print pieces, including fact sheets, flyers and public relations pieces

Qualifications—Required:

• Relevant experience with B.A. in Graphic Design or related field
• Portfolio including web and print work
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects within deadlines
• Ability to collaborate on the creation of and then execute program’s communication vision
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills and ability to work with a cross functional team to drive results

Qualifications—Preferred:

• Experience with HTML, CSS
• Experience with video editing, I-Movie/Final Cut
• Knowledge of user experience, usability and accessibility issues
